I do like the idea of the profits from the T-shirts being split between them and upstream. Nice ideaa!
<tobhe[m]>
+1, but we should make sure to have some kind of written permission to use the logo if someone makes profit i guess
<popey[m]>
Asbolutely. I've found Canonical legal to be super reasonable about this kind of thing. I know other flavours have their own merch which they profit from (e.g. Ubuntu MATE)
<john-cabaj[m]>
Yeah, this would be cool. Is there a fee for the company to host the shirt? Or do they just take a cut of sales?

I had a conversation with Philipp early on around when Ubuntu Studio was asking for donations and selling shirts to fund their developers.
<eslerm[m]>
*Offhand*, he said our logo wouldn't be an issue and that selling shirts would be okay. But, he warned to never transfer money through one of our own accounts, even temporarily, because that becomes immediately complicated.
<eslerm[m]>
I'll get everything clarified with written permission.

Ok, I don't think the gnome-shell crash is to do with suspend. My M1 has been plugged in all afternoon. The second I touched the keyboard to unlock it, the screen woke up and gnome shell crashed.
<popey[m]>
(lid was open, it was on charge on my desk. The timing of the crash being when I hit a key to unlock it)

hm interesting. I have no idea what could cause it. screen wakeup itself maybe?
<tobhe[m]>
there might be a few more things tied to that. I think we have a bug/race in kernel where it fails to reset the brightness on screen wakeup too
