<steev> robclark: what is the sc7180-idp?
<steev> oh, i guess you probably don't know
<steev> bamse_: ^^ question i gave to rob
<robclark> I know what it is.. I probably have one somewhere.. but it isn't something that there are too many of
<steev> i'm just wondering if venus works on it
<robclark> I mean, it is a board.. venus shouldn't care so much about board details
<robclark> it's a thing we use in early bring upt
<robclark> oh, heh, we actually bothered to upstream the dts for it.. I hadn't realized that
<steev> yeah, i'm just wondering if the venus rcg thing is happening on it
<robclark> if it happens on other sc7180, it would happen on idp
<robclark> I mean, other than maybe having only an ancient coreboot (I assume no one really cares to check that newer coreboot works on them once we have "real devices") there shouldn't really be anything different
<steev> does it happen on other sc7180?
<robclark> idk? Does it?
<steev> i only have the c630
<steev> i thought one of the chromebooks was sc7180
<robclark> there are a bunch of sc7180 chromebooks (and all the ones shipping so far should run upstream kernel.. others might be missing toplevel dts file but ideally that is rectified before they ship)
<robclark> the acer spin 513 (the 2021 version, not the one that hasn't shipped yet), hp x2 11 detachable, and duet 5 detachable are the more common ones... there are also a bunch of EDU devices, but you won't find those at best buy
<robclark> (those are lazor, coachz, and homestar, respectively.. fwiw)
<steev> ugh, the one near me only has the tablets
<robclark> you can get lazor at walmart, iirc.. but I think they only have the 4GB variant
<robclark> but I kinda like the detachables better.. they are nice devices.. (but my daily driver for email/gdocs/meet/etc is still lazor)
<steev> the c630 is my daily driver, i just kinda wanna figure out if venus issue is specific to the c630 or not
<robclark> tbf my daily driver lazor is corp enrolled (ie. so not in dev mode, meaning CrOS kernel)
<amstan> robclark: Grace found/brought some high end lazors in stores recently, they have lte too
<amstan> i need to ask her were, because i'm sure people here might be interested, heh
<amstan> 8GB/LTE
<robclark> ahh, nice.. I've been wondering where all the (non-edu) lte was.. if you come across an lte coachz let me know, because my mom wants one ;-)
<amstan> ah, looks like there's some enterprise value add in there which is not really relevant for anyone in here, maybe https://www.cdw.com/product/acer-lte-chromebook-ent-spin-513/6457846 is better

<flowriser> I started getting a new error: "qcom-cpufreq-hw: 18323000.cpufreq: IRQ index 0 not found" it appears to be when it does platform_get_irq inside the qcom-cpufreq-hw driver. Anyone else encountered this?
