<clover[m]> steev: do you know what that script is trying to accomplish?
<bamse> clover[m]: the script greps the lid acpi state file for "open" and if that fails it turns off the display...and as we don't have acpi on the x13s that will always fail, and turn off the display
<bamse> clover[m]: the script is turning on/off the display based on the lid being open/closed
<clover[m]> i see! thx
<clover[m]> is there something we could grep for similar result?
<bamse> do you run something that will prevent the systemd from being suspended when the lid is closed?
<bamse> s/systemd/system/ but systemd would probably be what suspend the system...
<bamse> clover[m]: the one case i can think of where you'd like that feature is if you have an external display connected, and closing the lid should "remove" that screen
<bamse> i assume gnome et al would have something working along those lines, but sway doesn't out of the box
<clover[m]> i set HandleLidSwitchExternalPower=ignore in /etc/systemd/logind.conf so it will keep running when docked and closed
<clover[m]> docking seems to work fine with that setting here. maybe the need for this script is outdated?
<clover[m]> steev: headphones playback not working for me with 6.3.8.
<clover[m]> speaker works fine

<steev> clover[m]: did you do the thing where you unmute rea_whatever or whatnot?
<steev> clover[m]: the script is checking the lid state, but making sure that if an external display is plugged in, it only disables the internal display, so e.g. you have the external monitor+keyboard+mouse and the laptop doesn't suspend
<steev> oh, yeah bamse has it
<steev> didn't realize he'd responded

<steev> clover[m]: headphone playback "works" here... but it does sound like a helicopter
<steev> luckily 6.4 is around the corner so we can pretend 6.3 never existed soon

<steev> before you know it, you'll be submitting merge requests to the kernel... it's a slippery slope my friend

<clover[m]> arch linux arm updates are finally back
<HdkR> Nice
<steev> i still don't really like these sync_state() pending messages, not sure if they're supposed to be reported, or what. for the gmu and pmu
<steev> bamse: should these be reported or something? https://www.irccloud.com/pastebin/k7OKKpBA/
<steev> srinik: i'm seeing this unbalanced irq with audio on -rc7 https://www.irccloud.com/pastebin/zFKn2Taw/
