<robclark> yeah, something defn happens from time to time that stops charging
<robclark> if I unplug/replug charger, things start charging again
<clover[m]> i haven't noticed that
<clover[m]> i hope you don't have a hardware issue. lenovo is pretty good about replacing your machine up to a month after you get it
<robclark> I can't rule out that this isn't specific to the charger I am using
<konradybcio> didn't notice that with the stock charger, nor a different 30w brick
<robclark> not sure if the charging is completely controlled by the EC or not.. but I think _somewhere_ it is a sw bug because unplug/replug "fixes" it
<konradybcio> EC is a weird way of spelling ADSP ;)
<clover[m]> yeah i use stock charger and macbook charger, haven't noticed anything unexpected
<robclark> interesting, they managed to avoid having a discrete EC? I guess that saves a buck or so on the BOM
<ajhalaney[m]> The usage of the DSPs on this thing confuses me :)
<ajhalaney[m]> fwiw, I opened a few things for fedora... need to test a newer 6.4 build from rawhide after it gets merged since there were a couple display/gpu issues in the version I played with that I think since have all been resolved
<ajhalaney[m]> dracut: https://github.com/dracutdevs/dracut/pull/2377 (get interconnects in initramfs)
<ajhalaney[m]> kernel config update (definitely still missing some stuff but at least things function ok): https://gitlab.com/cki-project/kernel-ark/-/merge_requests/2499
<ajhalaney[m]> pd-mapper for f38: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/ahalaney/pd-mapper/build/6000921/ (still doesn't handle xz'ed firmware..)
<clover[m]> nice!
<robclark> cool
<ajhalaney[m]> im sure im still missing something... but will continue to try and get that in better shape the next few weeks here.
<javierm> ajhalaney[m]: great

<clover[m]> Endeavors arm install script seems to work on x13s. I might do a writeup on it
<clover[m]> s/Endeavors/Endeavoros/
<stirl_> I would be interested in trying that out
<stirl_> I haven't had any further luck with the manual install
<stirl_> is there a way to clear the efi partition so I don't have the broken linux boot option in there
<stirl_> would that affect the endeavor os installer at all
<clover[m]> yeah you can mount like i said before and run bootctl remove

<clover[m]> steev: what does your /etc/default/grub file look like?
<clover[m]> Hitting this issue
<clover[m]> Here's my grub params.
<konradybcio> maybe support for your filesystem is not enabled
<konradybcio> e.g. btrfs or something
<clover[m]> my rootfs is ext4
<konradybcio> what if you try root=/dev/nvme0n1p4
<clover[m]> same issue, unable to mount root fs on unknown block. thats why i changed to PARTUUID in the first place, but nothing is helping
<clover[m]> i can mount my rootfs just fine from an installation media
<konradybcio> maybe you want rootwait?
<clover[m]> isnt that rw?
<konradybcio> read/write
<konradybcio> as opposed to read-only
<clover[m]> didn't help
<clover[m]> robclark did you run into this with grub when you did a recent install?
<clover[m]> i wonder if i need to regenerate initramfs or something, trying that
mcbridematt has joined #aarch64-laptops
<robclark> clover[m]: I never did get grub working, but OTOH didn't try super hard once I saw that systemd-boot worked
<konradybcio> fwiw it works with the ubuntu concept
<clover[m]> what version of sd-boot are you using robclark
<robclark> fedora's grub and systemd-boot

<clover[m]> what version of systemd is fedora on right now?
