<n3ph> oh noes! I just realized, my Mac OS partition is too small for upgrading to recent versions...
<n3ph> that's a real showstopper. I have one m1 pro I want to DFU restore, but `idevicerestore` keeps failing for 15.2
<n3ph> Host system is 13.2, IIRC. Apple Configurator 2 is complaining about MacOS being too old for restoring 15.2
<n3ph> But `idevicerestore` went half way through, so the m1 pro is bricked ATM (exclamation mark screen)
<n3ph> I am currently downloading 13.2 again in hopes of getting the m1 pro restored with that version..
<n3ph> shrinking my Gentoo install on the host system to give back some storage to Mac OS is a huge task I am currently not willing to take.
<n3ph> one of these days, I guess 😿
<n3ph> chadmed: what's the current status of getting all required changes for the live iso upstream?
<n3ph> I remember there was a PR open for quite a while but can't find it ATM
<n3ph> Also, what's the rule of thumb in regards to the minimal size one should leave to MacOS to not run into this dilemma?

<chadmed> n3ph: i need to fix one thing in the dist-kernel ebuild but afaik thats about it. then its just a matter of getting it merged
<chadmed> you can just use mine for now though
<n3ph> True, I still have a provisioned stick around...
<n3ph> I am still in the mimimimimi state.. I'm sure I'll brick the setup with the luck I have today.
<chadmed> i keep around 100gb for macos to be able to update safely
<chadmed> i also have cs2 installed so maybe 100gb is overkill but i wouldnt go any less than that unless you have a 256gb machine
<chadmed> eh at least i know that our issues with cs are either muvm or hk related since it seems to work okayish on other hardware
<chadmed> how much space did you leave macos
<n3ph> IDK, something around 5GB
