<lumag> HappY[m], it tells you, which firmware file it couldn't load
<lumag> qca/htbtfw21.tlv
<HappY[m]> <lumag> "HappY🤗, it tells you, which..." <- Yes I can't find htbtfw21.tlv firmware..
<HappY[m]> In my device I only have "hpbtfw21.tlv" should I rename it to "htbtfw21.tlv" ?
<lumag> HappY[m], no. Instead define you bluetooth at wcn68555 instead of qca6390
<HappY[m]> This is all my vendor specific firmwares https://github.com/Saikatsaha1996/firmware-realme-porsche/tree/realme
<HappY[m]> Okay than probably I have to try with "wcn6855-bt" as compatible?
<lumag> HappY[m], it should be qcom,wcn6855-bt
<HappY[m]> Okay I will try.. and will share update here.. thank you so much
<lumag> :-)

<HappY[m]> <lumag> ":-)" <- Now firmware path should be
<HappY[m]> Is it okay ?
<HappY[m]> `/lib/firmware/wcn`
<lumag> HappY[m], no, /lib/firmware/qca
<HappY[m]> Okay same
<HappY[m]> Thank you
<lumag> n/p
<lumag> HappY[m], btw: I can not recommend putting firmware files online. Legally this is a license breach.
<HappY[m]> lumag: I deleted all firmwares .. all my default vendor firmwares.. just took wifi firmware for testing.. if work then I will try with my bdwlan.elf firmwares..
<HappY[m]> `./lib/firmware/ath11k/WCN6855/hw2.0/amss.bin... (full message at <https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v3/download/matrix.org/NjZcbRLyLtaXinOmnhVmQkdl>)
<HappY[m]> And I also have all this firmwares including ams20.bin , bdwlan.elf.. only board-2.bin not available
<HappY[m]> s/ams20/amss20/

<HappY[m]> But thank you for your suggestion.. I will remove.. 😊
<HappY[m]> <lumag> "HappY🤗, no, /lib/firmware/qca" <- Now looking like Bluetooth is okay.. but I think I have issues with pinctrl "bias" can you check it once?
<aka_[m]> <lumag> "HappY🤗, btw: I can not recommend..." <- we have to live with that
<aka_[m]> either u provide everything oob or you get ppl spamming you with "sir X not working, how get Y thing to work"
<aka_[m]> how is display stack now on next?
<aka_[m]> I wonder if i would get 6115 to display without any needs on hacks like i need on 6.5 on 8953(bridge power on stuff)

<lumag> aka_[m], two usual suggestions: - tell user how to repack modem parition or ping your vendor to release the firmware under redistro-permissive licence.
<lumag> aka_[m], at least on linux-next sm6115 display is working (with lt9611uxc) on RB2 board.
<aka_[m]> <lumag> "aka_, at least on linux-next sm6..." <- that sounds like display this other linaro guy was using on qcm2290
<aka_[m]> are these like standarized and used with mtp boards
<lumag> aka_[m], nah, qcm2290 is even stranger. But qrb4210 = sm6115 works like a charm.
<aka_[m]> qcm will get updates till 2028
<aka_[m]> i wonder if qcom will spin 6115/6225 till that
<aka_[m]> they will have software stack in development so why not push more cheapo chips to grab more marketplace
<aka_[m]> from what i hear 6115 is even cheaper than 8953 was back in time
<aka_[m]> including RF parts
<aka_[m]> yet vendors put it in 200$ devices
<aka_[m]> lately i feel tempted on fairphone 5
<aka_[m]> still no idea how SoT fares
<lumag> SoT?
<aka_[m]> and temps of that qcm6490?
<aka_[m]> screen time
<lumag> don't know. Haven't laid my hands on 6490 yet.
<lumag> I'm pretty happy with Pixel4 phone, looking for Pix5 maybe. That's my way into sustainable world.
* lumag is more worried about the lack of good 8" phablets
<lumag> I use such devices for navigation, mixing station, reading, etc.
<lumag> Haven't found anything sensible in the last couple of years.
<aka_[m]> I do use phone just for element web browsing and telegram so I don't have big requirements, just battery replacements to be available and not be as bad as I get now on my 6y old redmi msm8953 device
<aka_[m]> On fairphone OLED part sucks I believe as it's Boe so cheaper quality OLED, I would rather have ips but normies always tends to push companies into less durable stuff if it's shiny enuff

<aka_[m]> Luca Weiss: I don't like oleds
<aka_[m]> They will burn in 3 years
<aka_[m]> Fxtec has some I believe Boe OLED and they have hela issues wirh these, albeit their is probably curved
<konradybcio> iphones use boe oleds as well

<HappY[m]> <aka_[m]> "either u provide everything..." <- Yes it is true.. !
<HappY[m]> If someone don't know.. and he/she asked something, how it will work or how to solve.. etc etc . And anything wrong with that ?
<vknecht[m]> beyond that, it's just sad and revolting that this fear-lawsuit-for-firmware-copies builds up on autocensure/self-censorship and willing servitude
<HappY[m]> Now I removed all "copy right" firmwares firmwares from my firmware package.. now I only have my vendor specific firmwares..... (full message at <https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v3/download/matrix.org/fZagKrHUuVovVRdngUwobKMh>)

<vknecht[m]> it's doubtful you can re-create bin/firmware files, and shouldn't even need to
<vknecht[m]> if some of these files are on a partition you don't have to overwrite, right, check msm-firmware-loader package for pmOS and if tweak it if needed ; if some others are in linux-firmware repo, afaik you can redistribute them
<vknecht[m]> if some of them are really device-specific and only available in the android system partition/filesystem, you can consider re-appropriating/"nationalizing" them

<HappY[m]> found some information about how to create board-bin files for wifi "ath10k" .. I hope it is same for "ath11k" .https://github.com/jhugo/linux/blob/5.5rc2_wifi/README... (full message at <https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v3/download/matrix.org/ymPqUdjmeyFSfVuryQwHIbLe>)

<lumag> HappY[m], ath11k do not need wlanmdsp.mbn
<lumag> HappY[m], for ath11k it is easier to put correct board.eNN as /lib/firmware/ath11k/.../hwA.B/board.bin
<lumag> (note, board.bin, not board-2.bin)
<lumag> And then if it works, please send it to ath11k ML (https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/users/drivers/ath10k/boardfiles)
<lumag> HappY[m], all firmware is copyrighted. In theory even bdwlan.
