I'm taking the ADC bits out and going to build the usb charger driver without ADC support (nothing changed except it won't require an additional ADC driver and setting up the channels)

loki666: can you post a dmesg log?
<tokyovigilante>
There are a couple of Kconfigs to enable, should be obvious from the patchset though, and you need the correct DTS built into u-boot or passed in another way (by sunxi-fel etc). What setup are you using?

jernej: have pushed some WIP/RFC lcd enablement code on top of your HDMI work for the H616/T700 based on the T507 datasheet, but have no idea what I'm doing, could you have a look and share any advice if you have some time? Thanks
<macromorgan>
going to make sure it jibes well with OTG then see if I can get the battery working next, then upstream the whole pile.

tokyovigilante: I have CONFIG_DRM_SUN4I=m CONFIG_DRM_SUN6I_DSI=m CONFIG_DRM_SUN8I_DW_HDMI=m CONFIG_DRM_SUN8I_MIXER=m CONFIG_DRM_SUN8I_TCON_TOP=m should I compile in kernel instead of module ?

I'm using your u-boot rg35xx-upstream-extras branch with a buildroot image
<loki666>
I'll try to get you a dmesg, but I saw to ETIMOUT errors (one on mixer0, the other on gpu)

the GPU won't work currently (I haven't quite figured out the power issues) so blacklist panfrost for now
<tokyovigilante>
will work fine with the llvmpipe or other SW renderer
<tokyovigilante>
That should pull in all the right DMA and clock stuff. If you're getting a mixer error should be on the right track, might just need to check you have the right DTS (both the H616 DTSI and the RG355XX one)
<tokyovigilante>
jernej: thanks, that's more or less what i've done, just find the various mixer -> tcon -> top nodes confusing, the T507 *should* be the most accurate given it exposes the most display pins, but suggests both the RGB LCD output and HDMI are on the same DE0 mixer path, ie can't have different output on each
