Is there any way to relax the whole "can't change nickname in moderated channel" rule? Every time there's a net-split, this channel prevents me from switching back to my registered nick without leaving/rejoining
rasterman has quit [Quit: Gettin' stinky!]
<kennylevinsen>
Cwiiis: we're not setting any such rule. This is "just" a moderated, topic-locked, internal-messages-only channel as per https://oftc.net/ChannelModes/
<kennylevinsen>
maybe contact OFTC staff?
<Cwiiis>
Yes, I suppose this is an OFTC issue... I wonder if there's a nickserv command that lets you switch nicks and identify at the same time to overcome that...
<Cwiiis>
Anyway, thanks, will consider checking it out next time it happens I guess :)
<MrCooper>
Cwiiis: for me, identifying with NickServ automatically switches to the nickname I identified for
<Cwiiis>
MrCooper: oh, interesting, I should try that - I figured you had to switch first...

weston Merge request !725 closed (weston-launch: Provide a default version that doesn't require PAM)
<pq>
kennylevinsen, it looks to me like libseat is assuming VT always, so assuming VT only if seat name == "seat0" would be strictly better if not the complete fix. :-)

daniels: i've updated the wlroots impl, and tested with the weston demo, seems to work fine!
<daniels>
emersion: nice! should we land it all then? (with a version bump & release for w-p)
