<leezu> ./chromeos-firmwareupdate -m recovery fails with "ERROR: archive_open: Found file, but no drivers were enabled: ./chromeos-firmwareupdate" "ERROR: updater_setup_config: Failed to open archive: ./chromeos-firmwareupdate". Manual "sudo futility update -i /tmp/fw/images/ec-lazor.ro-2-0-6492.rw-2-0-6519.bin" fails with segmentation fault after "INFO: update_firmware: Loading
<leezu> current system firmware...". Am I missing some kernel configuration?
<leezu> futility over ccd fails with "ERROR: host_flashrom: Error code: 256", perhaps as the CCD is still in State: Locked

<leezu> Even with CCD State: Opened, "sudo futility update --ccd -i /tmp/fw/images/ec-lazor.ro-2-0-6492.rw-2-0-6519.bin" fails "ERROR: host_flashrom: Error code: 256" "ERROR: do_update: Cannot load system active firmware."
<leezu> robclark, dianders: touchpad issue was resolved by restarting EC. I triggered EC restart via Cr50 Update "sudo ./gsctool -s cr50.bin.prod" based on gs://chromeos-localmirror/distfiles/cr50.r0.0.11.w0.5.112.tbz2. Now `evtest` correctly shows tablet mode state transitions as the screen is flipped. The keyboard remains active when tablet mode is on.
<leezu> Is there any changelog/commit log for Cr50 versions?
<robclark> no idea where the cr50 code is, but I'm probably not the right one to ask since I don't really deal w/ fw stuff.. but I guess it is an EC bug somehow (it wouldn't really be anything related to cr50, that is just the tpm)
<leezu> Does holding the Power and Refresh button for 10 seconds also restart the EC? Then it would probably have lead to the same result
<leezu> robclark: Regarding chromeos-install to usb, "sudo chromeos-install --dst /dev/sda --skip_src_removable --skip_dst_removable --debug" works until the dd for copy_partition 5, at which point the system crashes and the USB device remains in a nonfunctional state. Curiously after the system crash, the CrOS on mmcblk1 looses all account information. But mmcblk1 is not factory
<leezu> reset, as for example the chronos user password remains set.
<leezu> The chromeos-install debug log is at https://pastebin.com/twkuBE9T in case that's of interest
<robclark> not sure under what conditions the EC restarts
