bamse: more out of laziness than actual experimentation, i've discovered that, if you let the flex5g sit long enough, the wifi eventually comes back (and goes away, and comes back) - i don't have a time exactly, but it seems like it might correlate to when it needs to get a new lease
<bamse>
steev: interesting, not sure why yours take such long time...mine reconnects after just a couple of seconds
<bamse>
steev: you use networkmanager or just wpa_supplicant?
<bamse>
well, i guess wpa_supplicant + systemd-networkd...
<steev>
i use nm yeah :/
<steev>
my lease time is 86400
<steev>
i should probably lower that anyway
<bamse>
nah, that's reasonable
<steev>
well that's 24 hours, so, it's not actually lease renewal
<steev>
i do however see re-connects with prev auth invalid
<steev>
which i don't see on... any other machine that is on the wifi
<bamse>
which board file do you use? built from windows firmware?
<steev>
i think so; it's either from the "firmware-lenovo" package in the linaro repo, or it comes from the flex5g_fw_extract.sh - let me double check
<steev>
yeah, it is the firmware-lenovo package
<steev>
i wonder...
<steev>
i'm pretty sure i grabbed the board-2.bin from chromeos and i use that on the c630
<steev>
oh no, i don't
<steev>
it's the same file on both
<steev>
the firmware-5.bin comes from the windows firmware though, afaik, and, that has been modified only to add the single channel thingie that qzed linked to a while back (which actually seems to have improved wifi handling)
