ChanServ changed the topic of #aarch64-laptops to: Linux support for AArch64 Laptops (Asus NovaGo TP370QL - HP Envy x2 - Lenovo Mixx 630 - Lenovo Yoga C630)
<javierm>
steev: interesting because 10 is the default AFIU
<steev>

let me play with it more - i went back to 6.0.8 because i tried pulling in robert mako's patches to mhi, but that actually makes it so that we can't modprobe -r the ath11k device here :( but i haven't redone
<mothenjoyer69>
anyone got any pointers for enabling the battery on this Galaxy Book S? I've got all the firmware and reserved memory regions right (... I think), but i'm not really sure what i actually need here?

bamse: hi, is battery implemented for flex 5g? do they use some qcom fg or device-specific EC?
<steev>
actually, you might need the remoteproc workaround too, not sure
<jenneron[m]>
thanks
<steev>
i haven't tried the patches on newer kernels at all, i probably should
<jenneron[m]>
steev: btw is there any progress with sound?
<steev>
on flex5g? dunno, on sc8280xp yeah, but it's not working here
<jenneron[m]>
yeah i'm asking about flex 5g / sc8180x
<steev>
no, i'm not sure what's even required there :(
<steev>
srinik might know better there, but afaik, no one is working on it

re: the battery patches above, i've got the patches applied but they don't seem to be everything needed. /sys/class/power_supply only gives me "No device" errors and I can't find any complaints in the kernel log. anyone happen to have any potential ideas? i'm not too sure where to go next with it
<mothenjoyer69>
<pierro78> "jenneron , mothenjoyer69 any..." <- not a whole lot. wifi does work now, and i got the reserved memory regions corrected last night, so right now we are trying to figure out how the heck we can get the battery to work
<mothenjoyer69>
jenneron got the branch rebased on 6.0.x and right now i'm trying to wrap my head around the gpio bindings for a few things that aren't quite right
<ardb>
steev: yes, provided that CONFIG_ARM64_VA_BITS=48
<steev>
yeah i do, okay
<dgilmore>
can someone share a working kernel config for a Lenovo yoga c630? The fedora kernel is missing something
