ChanServ changed the topic of #aarch64-laptops to: Linux support for AArch64 Laptops (Asus NovaGo TP370QL - HP Envy x2 - Lenovo Mixx 630 - Lenovo Yoga C630)
<calebccff> on some boots the touchpad doesn't work and i2c_hid_of prints a few "failed to reset device: -61" messages, is this a known issue?

<steev> yeah
<steev> we don't know what causes it though
<steev> it doesn't happen super often
<steev> or i don't reboot mine enough ;)
<steev> audio is also broken on mine with 6.0, not sure why, everything looks correct, alsaucm listcards is correct, but i just get popping from the speakers

<mani_s> steev, yes, it should be in the dtsi since it is SoC specific
<steev> https://paste.debian.net/hidden/b1053eec is what i came up with... based on the other ones adding it to all of pcie... it seems to work with 6.0, but i'm still having issues getting next to boot, although 1123 does get further than exiting efi services and locking up
<steev> the other dtsi's that have it had it above clocks, so that's why i threw it there
<steev> sorry, works on 6.0 and 6.1, but next is being a pita still :)
<mani_s> steev, placement doesn't matter much
<mani_s> steev, if i get some time, i'll try to boot next and see what happens
<mani_s> steev, which defconfig you used?
<steev> for me, it goes for a bit, and then.... instead of loading the graphics it just kinda... sits with a blank screen
<steev> laptop_defconfig - give me a sec, and i'll push out my 1123
<mani_s> okay
<steev> and i see i can actually punt one of my patches
<steev> i need to go back over them at some point, i see a few wips in there still that i *think* johan has sent to the ml, but i need to double check
<steev> and the kernel test robot is probably gonna yell at me (and qzed), and someone else - i forgot to look at those emails
<steev> oh, the other one is bamse, that's fine :P
<mani_s> i'll give it a try
<steev> oh, weird
<steev> i thought i'd added that bitfield patch

<jhovold> steev: looks like mani_s already broke the news, but here's a patch that fixes the intermittent NVMe timeouts on X13s with an analysis of the problem, including why it got worse in 6.1:

<jhovold> steev: and here's branch based on -rc6 with the latest state of things inluding external display support (but not yet including audio):
<jhovold> the first 139 commits are in linux-next (or linux-phy) so could be a good starting point for rebasing on next if you're feeling lucky
<steev> oh spiffy, will give that a whirl as well
