ChanServ changed the topic of #aarch64-laptops to: Linux support for AArch64 Laptops (Asus NovaGo TP370QL - HP Envy x2 - Lenovo Mixx 630 - Lenovo Yoga C630)
<javierm>
then driver_deferred_probe_timeout could be set to -1 again and fw_devlink_timeout to 10
laine has joined #aarch64-laptops

jenneron australia. let me know if he is interested, thanks :)
<steev>
mani_s: something strange i've noticed with 6.1 rcs... we seem to have lost thermal zones > 10 (so 11, 12 and 13 are gone, and 12 iirc is the skin temp)
<mani_s>
steev, interesting! I've been chasing one nvme timeout issue with laptop_defconfig on 6.1-rcs, so not paying attention to this
<mani_s>
will check
<steev>
seems > rc4 , might be rc5, i'm poking on the linux-pm mailing list now to see if anyone else has noticed
<HdkR>
How soon until we have GPU up on the 8G2? :P
<steev>
it's for phones, so, who knows
hexdump0815 has joined #aarch64-laptops
hexdump01 has quit [Ping timeout: 480 seconds]
<HdkR>
Sarcasm of course, Just jealous of the day-0 x86 support from their respective vendors
aceridus has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<mani_s>
javierm, it is not set but enabling that has no effect as expected since that driver is not used currently on sc8280xl
<mani_s>
*sc8280xp
<javierm>
mani_s: ah, Ok
<mani_s>
we used to see the timeout 1 out of 5-10 boots but now i'm seeing all the time :)
<javierm>
mani_s: can you share the relevant boot log printout ?
<mani_s>
javierm, that need some work. since nvme itself timesout, i need to use usb as the rootfs and copy the log over there and share
<mani_s>
so tomorrow
<mani_s>
there is no uart on x13s, so debugging is hard
<javierm>
mani_s: I see... and all the drivers needed are built-in ?
<robclark>
steev: isn't that for the 8g2, not 8cx..
<javierm>
a nice thing I liked about fedora/dracut is that you can do rd.debug rd.shell rd.break=cmdline and will give you a shell for debugging even without a rootfs
<steev>
er, isn't that the same thing? i really dunno
<robclark>
no, the non-c things are phone things
<steev>
ah, that's the differentiator
<robclark>
still, nice to see things posted so soon, I didn't think the 8g2 was even shipping yet
<steev>
maybe qcom saw the hype of asahi and seeing the interest when things are posted quick... or maybe it's bamse
<HdkR>
steev: Nice
<robclark>
it's probably bamse :-P
<HdkR>
Maybe with day 2 of the Snapdragon summit we'll get an 8CXG4 or G3X G2 announced :P
