<martiert> has anyone looked at the 5G module in the x13s? Do we know if that will get linux firmware and support?
<emily[m]1> https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Thinkpad_X13s looks like it already works with some extra steps
<martiert> oooh. nice.
<martiert> seems like it's fixed in upstream ModemManager even.

<jhovold> martiert, emily[m]1: the modem has been supported since 6.2, I'm updating this page work as progresses to reflect the state of Linux support for the X13s:
<emily[m]1> ah cool, thanks! ^^
<jhovold> Should apply to most distros unless they are lagging behind on some of the few user space deps (e.g. mesa)
<jhovold> you still need to do the modem fcc-unlock manually, however, that's the way it's supposed to work
<martiert> cool. Thanks
<jhovold> Here's an updated wip branch for the X13s fixing a PCIe core locking regression that made it into 6.7-final:
<steev> oh nice
<adamcstephens> building now :)
<adamcstephens> are there any efforts or hopes to get the tpm working?
<adamcstephens> (on the x13s)
<konradybcio> my wild guess is that it's accessed through a TZ app
<adamcstephens> TZ?
<konradybcio> trustzone
<steev> well, we have the uefisecapp, so... maybe if someone wrote one?

<qzed> konradybcio: What I've seen lines up with your guess
<qzed> Kind wish I had more time for that stuff nowadays

<steev> clover[m]: pushed out my 6.7 (basically johan's 6.7 final+ the other stuff i'd already added)
<steev> it's lenovo-x13s-linux-6.7.y
<craftyguy> steev: what did you add? I'm updating the kernel in pmOS to Johan's 6.7, but curious what you added on top of that
<steev> craftyguy: let me list it out :)
<craftyguy> thanks
<steev> i think the cam stuff *should* be in place for 6.9
<craftyguy> is wwan data working with your kernel?
<steev> as far as i know, yeah, cuz clover[m] uses it
<steev> i don't have wwan model
<craftyguy> hmm ok
<steev> all i know is "modern modemmanager and do the fcc unlock"
<craftyguy> ya that wasn't enough for me, so I may be missing some kconfig or ?? (I havne't had time to dig in further, but knowing that someone has it working is a good bit of info I can use later :P)
<steev> you could check the commit where i add wwan options
<steev> that was based on clover[m]'s request
<craftyguy> um, where is that?
<steev> should be the top bits
<craftyguy> thanks!

<steev> konradybcio: i'm trying to follow https://lore.kernel.org/all/CY9E4ZCHOMWU.C18NR0H7V1QX@fairphone.com/ because i *think* that's the same issue we get on the c630; assuming i'm reading it correctly, if i were to apply his patch to bam_dma, i should (conceivably) get the values that the 845 crypto unit is looking for?

<steev> welp, here goes nothing :)
<steev> the thing there is, iirc, it's only the c630 that was affected by it, the other sdm845/850 devices weren't? (that's why bamse had me send a patch to disable crypto in the c630's dts)
