<steev> what is the flash-kernel error you are getting? and concept-x13s probably depends on flash-kernel, so yeah, if you remove it, it would remove concept-x13s too, since, it won't have a dependency

<steev> jhovold: are there any plans to bring the audio changes to previous kernel versions or nah? i saw upstream kinda said nah to taking it back to stable but i didn't read closer
<init_x13s> hey steev, haven't been around for a while. I was wondering on how much your own branch diverted from jhovold lately.
<steev> it's only a few patches on top at this point, as there's less testing stuff at the moment :D 18 patches total, but 8 of them are just for the laptop defconfig
<jhovold> steev: no, audio is not going to be supported by stable 6.4 (e.g. the reset driver is missing etc)
<jhovold> but there's nothing preventing you from backporting the corresponding changes to your 6.4 branch
<steev> okay
<jhovold> otherwise, people need to make a switch to 6.5-rc3 now to get the latest audio fixes
<jhovold> i suggest the latter
<jhovold> either way
<steev> half the kali team is on vacation currently, so i don't have as much free time, but i might poke at it, just to have it on both; but i've not yet run into issues with the rcs
<steev> but i have verified that things work with the latest rc3 :D thank you
xypron has joined #aarch64-laptops
<init_x13s> cool, thanks for the update
<jhovold> it should only be 3-4 patches that are needed to use the latest topology and ucm files on top of my 6.4 branches (and your built on top) since it has all the other deps that wasn't merged until 6.5
<jhovold> but perhaps people want to use their mostly working audio with 6.4 and wait a bit with the manual ucm updates that are currently required
