<LoganLeland[m]> What's the status of pointer auth for the x13s?
<LoganLeland[m]> Ah, waiting for a bios update

<claydoh[m]> steev thanks, I sort of assumed this might be the case. I was just hoping for current shortcuts, because I am lazy :D But it's what I get when choosing an odd piece of hardware like the flex 5g to play with :). At least the old image has working kb, touch pad, and ufs support ootb. Mostly I just was hoping for a non-Debian base.
<claydoh[m]> What is needed for initial kb/touchpad and ufs support?
<albsen[m]> <jglathe> "on the X13s these are left..." <- is this mainline 6.7 or are there any patches?
<craftyguy> wifi on the x13s seems a lot more crash-y for me on jhovold's 6.7 kernel... anyone else see this? dmesg is spammed with messages like this until I reload ath12k: https://bpa.st/ZJMQ
<craftyguy> *ath11k

<jglathe> @albsen[m], @craftyguy this is the tree https://github.com/jglathe/linux_ms_dev_kit/tree/jg/blackrock-v6.7.y its based on @steev's repo.
<jglathe> I have copied the current local firmware from Windows, the update early january seems to have shipped newer mbns

<jglathe> @craftyguy I have seen it, but with the aspm parameter removed apparently not anymore
<jglathe> plugging in an USB-C device triggers DP AUX negotiations even for an USB-C flash drive. On all DPs
<jglathe> can not really see why or which, but this is on Volterra with display on DP, plug of an USB-C flash drive
<jglathe> everything contineued working though

<craftyguy> jglathe: I don't use any cmdline params now with the 6.7 kernel, I thought they weren't necessary anymore
<jglathe> now thats interesting, I was not adventurous enough to try this
<craftyguy> Well maybe it explains my wifi woes haha.. though even with that stuff set wifi is still problematic for me in other ways (and it still hit that issue above, just not as frequently as it does now)
<jglathe> did you chack that this WiFi card works fine with Windows?
<jglathe> I tested this on three physical devices, all three showed the erratic QCNFA765 before. It works apparrently, for a week now
<jglathe> The Volterra I'm sitting on still runs with pd_ignore_unused clk_ignore_unused arm64.nopauth, on next reboot only the "unused" parameters
<craftyguy> No I've nuked the windows install on this and never booted it. Linux or bust
<jglathe> Oh. That makes things a little harder IMO. Try booting Windows from USB-C, that's some fun
<jglathe> I doubled (or so) the disk space in the devices to have both available
