<Segfault[m]> oh yeah so a few people mentioned they were using the SN770M in their X13s's, i think i've mentioned before but at one point i tried a 1tb SN740 and had serious issues with it, both in linux and windows, in linux the pcie driver would randomly die and in windows it'd install fine but then bsod immediately while booting
<Segfault[m]> at some point i'll clone my linux install over again to see if newer kernels fixed those issues but in the mean time does anyone have any idea what might cause that?
<HdkR> Temperature related maybe?
<Segfault[m]> i doubt it if it was immediately crashing windows, it wouldn't even have had time to warm up in that case

<HdkR> True
<steev> no idea here, maybe it wasn't seated properly?
<jglathe__> would assume this. I had a SN740 for a while in the Volterra box, no issues.

<louist103> Hi all. Its been a little bit since I've messed with gentoo on the C630. I got the latest ISO, I think its the 2/28 version. I noticed that the ISOs after the late January build takes a long time to boot up. It first gets stuck at scanning for devices, Last thing printing is a few lines of udevd: worker /devices/x/x is taking a long time....
<louist103> Then it says "use scandelay[=seconds] if your live medium is slow and boot fails. It hangs there for a while then goes back to the udevd messages with "timeout kill it" after each device. After that it boots normally to the live environment.
<louist103> My old boot disk, I think from January boots just fine with no large delays

<louist103> The other thing I was having an issue with was the keyboard. I remember enabling the i2c modules as "Y" but even after a boot up I couldn't type. Is there a driver built into the live CD I can enable with modprobe to test it? I'd rather not do a full install again for it not to work
<louist103> I think it was these I set to "Y". I may have done more but don't remember. `i2c_hid_of, hid_multitouch`

<louist103> Quick update. It looks like it does detect the keyboard based on this line in dmesg. Not really sure why it doesn't work though. [ 33.775601] input: ENES6243:00 6243:0001 Keyboard as /devices/platform/QCOM0220:05/i2c-5/i2c-ENES6243:00/0018:6243:0001.0002/input/input4
