fogous: Don't DM me without a reason. It will be considered spam.
<emily[m]1>
seems to be the normal kind of spam, I just got a dm invite too
<fogous>
emily[m]1: I just want a conversation

Any op here?
<steev>
i don't even know who the ops are... but generally i tend to point spammers out in #oftc

steev: What's wrong with sending messages?
<steev>
in general, nothing. usually it's better, if you have questions to just ask in the channel
<HdkR>
It's not proper IRC etiquette to DM without cause.
<Jasper[m]>
<emily[m]1> "seems to be the normal kind of..." <- same
<jenneron[m]>
yeah got the same
<jenneron[m]>
annoying
<emily[m]1>
fongus So just as an explenation for why others are annoyed in case you are actually confused: there's places like fedi or rooms specifically for socialising where there might be different rules but going around poking random users in a channel is generally considered pretty annoying at best or creepy at worst
<emily[m]1>
* there might (depending on where) be different

jhovold: i've tracked down the issue of the x13s keyboard not working with void's .config to https://p.qrm.cat/DlISkc.txt (and confirmed that by adding `iommu.passthrough=0 iommu.strict=1` to the cmdline)
