<DenysVitali[m]> Hello everyone! Did anyone manage to get the modem working on the Lenovo Flex 5G / Surface Pro X? I see / can query the modem with QRTR but ModemManager doesn't show any device. I think something might be missing in the device tree.

<steveej[m]> jhovold: the sleep issue was caused by the `regulator_ignore_unused` kernel arg. removing it now it sleeps again :-)
<steveej[m]> kbingham: i switched to nixpkgs unstable and now i have a system with libcamera 0.3.1. applications can't get a picture from the camera. any ideas how i can debug this?

<KieranBingham[m]> <steveej[m]> "kbingham: i switched to nixpkgs..." <- First steps, what platform/device and can we check the camera works. Can you run "cam --list" then we need to see what applications you're configuring ... Presumably through pipewire, you'll have to make sure any pipewire-libcamera package is installed too bring in the libcamera-spa
<KieranBingham[m]> Then Firefox will have to have a hidden seeing called "pipewire-camera" or such enabled. Fedora does all this, but nix you might have to say everything up yourself
<KieranBingham[m]> Setting*
<erebion[m]> Anyone got a more permanent solution than
<erebion[m]> btmgmt -i hci0 public-addr "11:22:33:44:55:66"
<erebion[m]> ?
<erebion[m]> This quickly gets tiring when rebooting often xD
<bylaws> Testing audio on the t14s, I find I need to manually modprobe a few modules after each boot, is this known?
<travmurav[m]> well I guess I still need to implement the dpp parser, tho board-stable impl is there
<travmurav[m]> board-stable-random that is, in 02:00 range
<abby> erebion[m]: add it to the startup mechanism of your distro (e.g. rc.local, systemd unit)

<DenysVitali[m]> <dgilmore> "Denys Vitali: https://modemmanag..." <- I was thinking the same, but it looks like my modem isn't supported by any FCC unlock procedure

<steev> booting my flex 5g now
<steev> i show a wwan0 device on mine
<steev> lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 56 Aug 12 18:10 /etc/ModemManager/fcc-unlock.d/105b:e0ab -> /usr/share/ModemManager/fcc-unlock.available.d/105b:e0ab

<DenysVitali[m]> Uh, maybe the Surface Pro X and the Flex 5G don't use the same modem (I though they did!)
<steev> DenysVitali[m]: fwiw, i'm using https://github.com/steev/linux/tree/lenovo-flex5g-linux-6.11.y and the kernel config of https://dpaste.com/289QEPC2F
<steev> and i should probably push that wakeup sources patch to the ml
<steev> the only thing i haven't looked into is why audio doesn't work anymore
