alyssa uses gnome but not sure if on wayland or x11. either way i was under the impression it wasnt as stable as plasma at this stage still

chadmed on my x86 machine and my m1 machine theres tons of kerneldumps from baloo file manager and from polman or so. And its super annoying having to create policykit rules that when I vnc onto it, that I am not bombarded with entering the password...

on the other hand on GNOME, I do not get a single coredump, doing the same heavy disk operation ... over sshfs and many folders...

on m1, even when I'm doing nothing, kde crashes all day

on my x86 machine, it also does this. I must do something it doesn't like in particular. But on the other hand, I get even a coredump after a fresh kde install, very strange.

That kinda led me to believe kde is not as stable. I tried other things too, like using fedora/kde and debian/kde but its the exact same issue with baloo and kwin

that makes me wanna have hibernation again, but its not a feature officially supported. Trying vms at the moment on my x86 system. May be possible I have to add a additional GPU so it doesnt feel sluggish

Never used these (yes I place my windows on three panes every time after login). The problem for me was more the clock on the right hand side and sizing the panel up to notch height. It works fine with a user theme and sur clock. There is an extension wich does all but this has problems with placing the clock at the same point.
