Hi. I'm wondering is there's a way to have a different UIMAGE_NAME for initramfs.bin vs sysupgrade.bin, for the same device.

Why would I want to do this? Well, if the image has the correct IH_MAGIC and UIMAGE_NAME, then the vendor's web interface will accept it. And I want to prevent users from blindly flashing a -sysupgrade over the vendor's web interface

hurricos: do you know in advance what the leading dir will be
<PaulFertser>
sodo: cfg80211 is part of kernel backports
<sodo>
PaulFertser: i'm not familiar with kernel nor c
<PaulFertser>
sodo: compiling external modules against backports can be tricky. See how other out of tree wireless drivers are packaged.
<PaulFertser>
sodo: then forget about it
<sodo>
PaulFertser: nah i put bunch of time and it's almost done
<sodo>
thing left: link stdlib, solve cfg80211 issue using Module.symvers idk

Habbie: isn't there a way to get the uboot pw from within the OS with the root exploit?
<fpsusername[m]>
Or is the only way to crack the hash or rewrite the chip with a custom hash

fpsusername[m], you mean for the KPN Experia Wifi? I fully trust that having root on the OS will help us get either of those things, but I haven't found the time yet

<Habbie> "fpsusername, you mean for the..." <- Yes ofc. Don't have other hardware I'd like to use openwrt on. Maybe my rax20 if it's EOL, but I heard openwrt (or it was ddwrt) has terrible/no support for wifi 6(e)
<Habbie>
ack :)

<karlp>
anyone know if mt7601u driver can be told about bluetooth coeexistance? via usb only? looking replacing a rt8821cu combined wifi/bt module with an mt7601u and a standarlone btle radio.
<karlp>
I'm accepting the extra antenna, but can the mt76001 even be told about co-ex? the bt radios can give me gpios,
<karlp>
device tree bindings seem to be just for a single QCA part and some older redpine parts, and then there's code referring to it in various places, but ... very unclear to me at least :)
<karlp>
drivers/net/wireless/mediatek/mt7601u/regs.h has a register definition for coex, but it doesnt seem to be used?
