svanheule: I can flash it remotely, vut I am not able to test right now. :/ However, I will ask someone if they can test of my wireless group.

nick[m]1234: thanks! the only thing that may be broken in current master is the 5GHz radio, but better to be close to a device when testing
<nick[m]1234>
Probably I can flash an eap225 and see if someone still able to connect to 5 ghz?
<svanheule>
you could do that, yes
<svanheule>
on my EAP245v3 the ath10k driver complained about failing to load the board-2.bin, leaving the 5GHz radio disabled
<nick[m]1234>
Also iw dev station dump shows me stations connected into the AP :D
<nick[m]1234>
so I guess it is necessary. before I had errors loading the board file

nick[m]1234: a ready made patch! <3
<svanheule>
I'll have a look and merge it in a bit
<svanheule>
will also need to do the other Wave-2 EAP225 devices
<nick[m]1234>
svanheule: :)
<nick[m]1234>
I heard that someone owns a v3 outdoor. I don't any other eap225 devices. :S prorably the same error also on them

v3 outdoor support is still pending; there's a PR on github for it, but they will also need to update to use "pre-calibration" instead of "calibration"

svanheule: I just saw that in one commit you also renamed the node name inside art partition to pre_calibration. Did not do this in my patch. Maybe it would be a good idea to also rename it like you did in the other commit.
<nick[m]1234>
I can also re-run the test.

Ansuel: You had suggested a couple of days ago I use EXTRA_FEEDS for github actions. Do you have any clue how that variable is supposed to work?
mzvd has joined #openwrt-devel
<Ansuel>
mrnuke i assume you should add the link to that env variable
<Ansuel>
then the script should add it to feeds.conf and your package should be there... but you should setup a feed with your package in it... your current setup doesn't work (in theory) in the current state
<mrnuke>
Hmm. I don't want a feed. I want to test the package (realtek-poe) and build an ipk.
<mrnuke>
Presumably, it will eventually make it into the packages feed
<Ansuel>
if you want to just test it and use that github action you have to create a testing feed (it's not hard... it's really a repo with directory it it)

The 5ghz radio of the eap 225 outdoor v1 radio stops working after a time. :/
<svanheule>
I've seen reports on the forum of spontaneous reboot too...
<svanheule>
I don't have any devices with that specific chip though, only qca9982 and qca9880
<svanheule>
mostly I've been running the -ct driver with no real issue lately, although I have a strong feeling it depends on which client is connecting.

GH is pretty bad to do reviews IMHO
<svanheule>
can't comment on commit messages without manually copying them...
<mrnuke>
Yeah, it does tend to hide commit messages and focus more on the PR message, which I also am not a huge fan of. I still prefer it over ML patches
