Hey all, https://openwrt.org/docs/guide-user/base-system/hotplug talks about hotplug binary (hotplug $(env) but my openwrt23.x.x doesn't have this binary. Also, I'm not seeing hotplug events that I'm trying to test, do I need to reload/reboot openwrt procd somehow? (how?) kill -HUP 1; doesn't do anything
<oliv3r[m]>
the '00-logger' bit does work however :p
<oliv3r[m]>
oh I just realized it's not a binary, but a logger --target :p

So hotplug is working I suppose, the cp210 example is just incorrect ;)

I fixed the example, cleaned it up; and added a 'more advanced' one :)

sur5r: to answer your question - I guess the user will have to loose their config one more time before the fixed version is deployed. But maybe more knowledgeable people will tell you differently. That said, thanks for your work

how can I make regular init.d scripts work nicely with hotplugd? I just noticed that ser2net actually has quite an advanced config/init.d script, but it assumes that (a USB device, which is naturally quite dynamic in itself) is always available and connected at boot. So a hotplug script for starting such a service would be needed, but how to deal with that in procd world?
