<steev> possibly, i'll give that a shot
<steev> blergh
<steev> i think i see what it is
<steev> it's the windows recovery partition getting in the way
<steev> but they won't let me delete it
<steev> well there we go, screw you windows. i'll resize it in linux.
<steev> bamse: oh, re: per device, i'm not so sure honestly - I used the same recovery usb for both c630s back in the day when i was having issues with upgrading the bios
<steev> which takes *forever* to write
<steev> not sure why it takes almost 30 minutes to write 14GB of data to a 32GB USB 3.1 device
<steev> shawnguo: so... for random testing... 0.4 will *not* install grub if you have windows 11 installed on the c630. not sure why, it doesn't error, but when the computer reboots, it just recognizes windows bootloader
<bamse> steev: but do you know if that overwrote modemst* specifically?
<steev> that part, i definitely do not know - all the files in the lenovo recovery shit are encrypted and/or password protected somehow
iivanov has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<steev> i kinda assumed it did since it resets the bios too, but who knows
