ChanServ changed the topic of #aarch64-laptops to: Linux support for AArch64 Laptops (Asus NovaGo TP370QL - HP Envy x2 - Lenovo Mixx 630 - Lenovo Yoga C630)
<derzahl>
i ran it on my mac for awhile to be cool
<derzahl>
better than HFS anyway:)
<pinskia>
well b+trees were ahead of their time
<derzahl>
well damn, i just realize i had a bunch of 512GB m2s laying around and thought _maybe_ i could throw one in and then not have to worry about shrinking windows down so much
<derzahl>
ive run every fucking windows debloater script i could find, compressed the OS and im still stuck at 20GB
<derzahl>
i upgraded to pro so it takes even more. was down to 16 before
<derzahl>
but i have an win10pro x86 iso i use for VMs thats like 4GB installed
<derzahl>
i noticed the firmware rip from the windows partition got way smaller. tgz file i made went from 328M to 50M since i last did it
<derzahl>
guessing the debian-image script was optimized to remove unneeded stuff?
iivanov has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<derzahl>
ok, got it to 16gb
<steev>
derzahl: you could always plug an m.2 in over usb and use overlayfs
<derzahl>
:P
<derzahl>
i grabbed some linux-headers for 5.11.0 from a ubuntu package and put them in /usr/src/linux-headers-5.11.0-custom
<derzahl>
apt doesnt even try building the zfs package cuz it says kernel headers arent installed
<derzahl>
is it just looking for a entry in the package db for linux-headers-5.11.0-custom?
<derzahl>
its odd cuz 'apt install zfs-dkms' pulled in linux-headers-5.10.0-7-arm64 and i dont even have that kernel installed
