ChanServ changed the topic of #aarch64-laptops to: Linux support for AArch64 Laptops (Asus NovaGo TP370QL - HP Envy x2 - Lenovo Mixx 630 - Lenovo Yoga C630)
<steev> do you get it when flipping the cable? it's still a bit wonky, so it could be anything
<clover[m]> nah i didn't ever figure it out. i got some good work today driving my ancient samsung LED monitor as a second display
<clover[m]> since that worked out well I purchased a Lenovo M14 Portable Monitor with a birthday giftcard from amazon
<clover[m]> another cool thing that worked today: firefox was able to recognize my bluetooth headset mic for zoom calls in the browser. chromium was not able to and i couldnt figure out why.

<szclsya[m]> steev: any new stuff in 6.0rc6?
<szclsya[m]> if there's nothing new I can probably take a break
<steev> we just skipping from rc4 to rc6?
<steev> but also, we're still, afaik, at rc4, and at the current time, nothing newer, just newer versions of patches

<HdkR> steev: I've been distracted by a week or two since I last checked. Anything GPU side shifted on x13s?
<steev> no
<steev> i tried last night and sadly, still the same state
<HdkR> Dang, I'm planning on nabbing a few more in a few days
<steev> it'll come, eventually
<HdkR> Available before XDC for demos? :P
e1eph4nt has joined #aarch64-laptops
<steev> i dunno what or when xdc is
<HdkR> Xorg dev con + wineconf. It's going to be October 4-6th
<steev> maybe, maybe not
<HdkR> :O
<HdkR> Alright, I've got three more on the way
<clover[m]> why do you need so many thinkpads lol
<HdkR> Once the GPU is running it'll be a development platform for friends/coworkers
<HdkR> Need a GPU because of game testing
<clover[m]> Interesting

<HdkR> The Macbooks are nice but lack of GPU makes it limited use case
<clover[m]> Could you use WSL2 for now?
<HdkR> nope
<HdkR> Need Turnip
<HdkR> Dozen might work I guess, but I doubt it has been battle hardened

<clover[m]> I'd prefer at least the rc4 kernel for x13s Leo Shen , i think there is a fix that makes displaylink work: https://github.com/DisplayLink/evdi/issues/376

<szclsya[m]> correct, I'll do rc6 then
e1eph4nt has joined #aarch64-laptops
<szclsya[m]> *rc4, there doesn't seem to a branch of rc6 for x13s yet
