ChanServ changed the topic of #aarch64-laptops to: Linux support for AArch64 Laptops (Asus NovaGo TP370QL - HP Envy x2 - Lenovo Mixx 630 - Lenovo Yoga C630)
<harvestz[m]>
is there a link or summary of what is expected to be supported for the 6.0 release for the thinkpad x13s?
<robclark>
Manis[m]: you can still unlock modern chromebooks, as you always have.. there can be some restrictions if the device doesn't actually belong to your (ie. whoever manages a fleet of school/work/etc devices can choose to restrict unlock) but if you own the device, it is yours to do as you wish
<harvestz[m]>
hopefully the release after will offer more support

robclark: oh, that's good to read. I think the Acer CB514-2H would be quite a fine device if you could have it with say a replaceable NVMe drive.

chromebook keyboards make me shudder
<Dylanger>
Chromebook keyboards make me weak at the knees
<bamse>
steev: sounds like a proper bug fix to me (sd-card orientation...)
<bamse>
steev: any luck on the tin-foil side?
<steev>
ah i forgot to buy one
<steev>
some*
<steev>
and what i mean by flip is that the sdcard reader has usb-c, it's https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D1J88CF this one, and if i plug it in with the ugreen label facing the ceiling, its fine, if i plug it in with ugreen label facing the floor, wifi is blocked
<steev>
i tend to plug it in with label down because normally i have the mains plugged into the port closest to the display
<steev>
and the little loop blocks it otherwise
<gwolf>
ugh
<gwolf>
I had only seen orientation issues on USB-C devices with the video -- and it makes sense, as HDMI travels over some of the physical USB-C cables
<gwolf>
but what you describe is a USB device
<gwolf>
there should be no difference :-\
<gwolf>
(of course, the world should be beautiful and peaceful... but reality tells otherwise)
