<hexdump0815> ungeskriptet: i gave your sm7150 ufs a try on my samsung galaxy book go sc7180 and it did not work
<hexdump0815> ungeskriptet: here is the result and a small summary of what i used: https://pastebin.com/raw/FBG7NEdC
<hexdump0815> ungeskriptet: i guess i would have to adjust some of the resources at least and its not easy to impossible (at least for me) to get them only from the acpi/dsl information
<ungeskriptet> hexdump0815: Do you have all necessary UFS configs enabled? You need these ones enabled afaik... (full message at <https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v3/download/matrix.org/WIKqHSvFzaMxOqLHsLnCsrlG>)

<hexdump0815> ungeskriptet: all are in except CONFIG_PHY_QCOM_QMP_PCIE - is that one really required?
<hexdump0815> ungeskriptet: added that too just in case, but it does not change anything as expected
<ungeskriptet> hexdump0815: Don't know, I have it enabled. Can I get back to you in a couple of hours?
<hexdump0815> ungeskriptet: sure - i
<hexdump0815> i'll be away for awhile now as well

<ungeskriptet> hexdump0815: Hi, I managed to compile a kernel for you. Can you try it out? Not sure if keyboard is going to work but if you see partitions listed in the dmesg it should. The source is here: https://github.com/ungeskriptet/linux/tree/sc7180-ufs

<hexdump0815> ungeskriptet: this definitely looks promising - i cannot reallyboot that kernel as it ends up in a debug shell which i cannot telenet too as no usb connection

<ungeskriptet> hexdump0815: Do you have keyboard working in your kernel?
<hexdump0815> ungeskriptet: but i managed it to drop into an initramfs shell and to capture some boot output with a camera
<hexdump0815> no no keyboard access, neither native nor usb, but ufs seems to be at least somehow discovered as my usb drive is now sdg :)

<hexdump0815> let me try to build a kernel from your tree myself and play around with that one - i'm using debian and not pmos and this is no phone, so some things do not match well between your kernel and my setup
<hexdump0815> can you please highlight which kernel config options and which commits of your tree should be the most relevant ones for ufs to work?
<ungeskriptet> sure
<hexdump0815> ungeskriptet: wow - impressive list of interesting branches in your kernel tree :)
<hexdump0815> ungeskriptet: at the first look the ufs relevant changes in your tree look about the same as what i tried earlier today so i guess there are either extra patches in your tree or extra config options or -next has something in vs. the v6.4.2 i used
<hexdump0815> but for sure all in all very nice to see some first ufs signs on the horizon on this device :)
<ungeskriptet> The most important ones are CONFIG_PHY_QCOM_*, but I'm unsure if all are needed
<hexdump0815> ungeskriptet: ok - i'll try to build a kernel based on your kernel tree and config to see if i'll see ufs then as well

<clover[m]> woo
<clover[m]> HdkR: How do i chroot into the ArchLinux.ero file? do I have to extract it first? the FEXRootFSFetcher did not give me the option to do that
<steev> you should be able to mount it, assuming you have erofs-utils installed or whatever arch calls it
<clover[m]> oh yeah mounting works, and looks like it comes with break and unbreak_chroot scripts
<HdkR> clover[m]: Mount + Copy to a folder + unbreak_chroot.sh
<steev> wow, i forgot about my headphone volume hack
