<Bioxvirizm-x13s[m]> Does anyone use a bluetooth headset? In the latest kernel update 6.5 in the arch distribution, neither microphone nor sound works at the same time. Is it only me that has something wrong? Before the update the work was awesome through the headset and it was the only way to hold rallies at this point. Now it's gone.

<Stirl[m]> push: I could do 450
<push> Deal, how do you want to arrange it?
<Stirl[m]> uh good question. email me your address? I can send you a paypal/venmo request? I feel like buyer always has more risk involved so I can default to your preferences. You are in the US right?

<push> I started a transfer to my paypal account, the money will be there monday
<Stirl[m]> alright, you can send an email to stirhoss@gmail.com with relevant info and I can go ahead and send you the request, you can just pay it when the money hits your account

<quinine> <Bioxvirizm-x13s[m]> "Does anyone use a bluetooth..." <- I updated to 6.5 and the headphones are making noise.
<exeat> I may be able to test my bt headphones later... in the meantime, I do remember that there's sometimes playback noise when the headphones first connect after being powered on. It goes away after a disconnect/reconnect cycle through the bluez applet.
<exeat> (Not specific to the 6.5 kernel)
<quinine> Ah, it's the headphone jack where I get noise, and bluetooth headset works perfectly.

<exeat> Bioxvirizm-x13s[m]: my bluetooth headset works fine on 6.5, in all three of the "headset head unit" profiles available. The test was a simple "parec | pacat", with pipewire-0.3.79 on debian/unstable.
<Bioxvirizm-x13s[m]> I want to be clear about the bluetooth, not just the bluetooth headphones. But specifically working as a microphone+voice?
<Bioxvirizm-x13s[m]> ldac codec is no longer displayed in settings=(
<exeat> Yes, I tested that I could hear my own voice captured by the headset mic (other microphones muted).
<exeat> Those three profiles shown in the screenshot are the ones I tried. I've never seen LDAC, it may not supported by my QC 35 II.

<altacus> In case anyone was wondering, I was able to get my debian back running, but I had to install ubuntu 13s concept first. I suspect there was some boot partition issues, which the debian installer did not correct.
<altacus> does anyone know if the Qualcomm Boot Critical Drivers for Windows 11 ARM, version 1.6 is OK to install?
<clover[m]> Should be fine altacus:
<altacus> clover: Thank you!
<steev> clover[m]: HdkR: pushed out 6.5.2, including your VA memory change, as well as adding in those (and a few other options from that pull request) - i did not change what the default triggers were though
<altacus> clover: Thank you. I will give it a test drive
<_[m]1> hm I formated an external disk with ext4 on x13s but couldn't read it on another Linux laptop, odd
