<jhovold> craftyguy: yes, closing the lid to suspend also with an external display connected is certainly a valid use case so this is a bug that needs to be fixed
<jhovold> I only mentioned the systemd setting since I recently noticed that that behaviour was the default here and at least works around the issue to some extent for now
<craftyguy> ah ok, gotcha

<jkm> travmurav[m]: hi
<jkm> travmurav[m]: do you know what driver I need to use for WiFi on aspire1?

<jkm> BT seems to be initialized
<jkm> but WiFi does not
<steev> anything about ath in dmesg?
<jkm> ath10k_snoc 18800000.wifi: Adding to iommu group 11
<jkm> this is the only mention
<jkm> device node status in DT is "okay"
<jkm> regulatory.db loaded successfully
<jkm> ath10k_snoc module loaded
<jkm> bluetooth hci0 device found
<jkm> but no WiFi
<konradybcio> jkm do you have the pd-mapper daemon running?
<jkm> konradybcio: no
<jkm> is that necessary?
<konradybcio> yes
<konradybcio> also for the battery monitoring/charger etc. since it needs to interface with the qc firmware
<jkm> didn't know that...
<jkm> thanks, I'll try this out

<jkm> but funny thing is that BT has *been* initialized
<jkm> and yet WiFi has not
<jkm> still no WiFi with pd-mapper enabled
<jkm> "OF: reserved mem: 0x0000000093900000..0x0000000093afffff (2048 KiB) nomap non-reusable wlan@93900000"
<konradybcio> @jkm do you have qrtr-lookup (part of qrtr or qrtr-utils or similar)?
<konradybcio> if so, please run it and share the output
<jkm> konradybcio: here it is: https://termbin.com/uppa
<jkm> this is with pd-mapper in the background
<jkm> without is the output is the same apart from the first line missing
<jkm> s/is/it
<konradybcio> looks like pd-mapper didn't really do anythin
<konradybcio> are there .jsn files in /lib/firmware/qcom/sc8280xp/LENOVO/21BX/?
<jkm> not really
<jkm> I have multiple .jsn files under /lib/firmware/qcom/sc7180-acer-aspire1
<konradybcio> weird, what distro are you on?
<konradybcio> wait hm i guess it would be fair to ask which laptop you're using
<konradybcio> is that the aspire1?
<jkm> Yes
<jkm> the same that travmurav[m] is using
<jkm> maybe it'll be better to wait for him
<jkm> distro is based on Ubuntu
<konradybcio> I think you'll need the rmtfs and tqftpserv daemons running as well since the wifi is coordinated by the modem (or what's left of it)
<jkm> is there any wiki for that?
<konradybcio> i'd look around the postmarketos wiki
<jkm> I've already done that
<jkm> anyway, I'll ask travmurav[m] tomorrow
<jkm> thanks anyway
