I tried using my satechi USB C hub's HDMI output on my Slim 7x running the Ubuntu Concept image and it actually output an image to my monitor. Only 4K30 instead of 4K60 and it was pretty unstable: Gnome froze for a few moments when switching display resolution/refresh and the system locked up when I tried to only have the external display active. Has anyone else experienced this
<Ruen>
My monitor has USB C video in also but that doesn't work, I only plugged that into the top right USB C port though whereas the hub was plugged into the left one though.

I attempted to connect my ThinkPad T14s to the Lenovo Hub, and then from the hub to my external screen using both HDMI and DisplayPort (DP) cables, but unfortunately, I didn't get any signal or reaction on the screen. I also lost the ability to my set screen after switching to the 6.12 kernel.
<wizzard>
Any tipps on how to get this working on ubuntu concept? I was thinking about compiling the wip/x1e80100-6.13-rc1 kernel from johovold
<tobhe_>
not sure why your hub doesn't work, my adapter works fine
<tobhe_>
it would definitely be interesting seeing if another kernel works better
<tobhe_>
30hz is expected, freezes probably less

After some more testing: My monitor has a mode to priortize either "High-Speed Data" (for the built-in hub) or "High Resolution" and with the first option I get a video signal with USB C on the left port. With the second option dmesg says that DP link training failed with the "High Resolution" option which also happens when plugging in to the right USB C port which I saw in the logs is typical
