pinchartl: hey, mind if I nuke your container images with 'fdo.expires-after' label in pinchartl/libcamera-ci?
<bentiss>
__tim: likewise, I'm starting to enfore the 'fdo.expires-after' label in the container registry. Some early gstreamer images have this label, so I'd like to purge them...
<bentiss>
the gstreamer images are from 2020 June to October...
<__tim>
do you have a list of images by any chance, just so I can check if they're in use by the old stable branches (since re-building them seems problematic for reasons)
<__tim>
Thanks. I think those can all go, they are ancient branches from before the monorepo merge
<bentiss>
daniels: FYI, we have a lot of relatively beefy container images: https://paste.centos.org/view/47ed7f59 -> list of 1000 bigger images. (the image size is not the one used on disks, because depduplication of the layers)
<bentiss>
also, please do not cleanup those images anybody, I need to keep them to be able to deduplicate the users repo
<bentiss>
__tim: thanks

I think a lot of those gstreamer-rs images are probably no longer needed, they get regenerated on every rust version bump
<__tim>
the macos images at the top are a bit special
<bentiss>
FWIW, my plan once I'll get more time (next week I think), is to purge any container from the user repo who has the fdo.upstream label with a match on the upstream label (because this is just dedup), and then we can start to look at individually clean up the gstreamer-rs repo manually
<bentiss>
sigh, there are archive projects, so I can not clean up gstreamer/gst-omx for instance
<bentiss>
I'll de-archive, run my script and re-acrchive
<pinchartl>
I've disabled CI on that repository. it's supposed to hold the CI configuration and scripts used by pinchartl/libcamera/, not run the pipeliens
