parthiban: If you get a chance, I just pushed up new address mapping code; could you let me know if it works on your boards?
<parthiban>
MasterR3C0RD: Which one?
<parthiban>
in u-boot?
<MasterR3C0RD>
Yes, U-Boot
<MasterR3C0RD>
It should solve any issues you were having with ranks; it's also more heavily documented and (in my mind) makes a lot more sense at a glance
<parthiban>
I will be able to check later today.

Btw, with sram mapping and iomux in place, now am able to access the DE mixer block.
<MasterR3C0RD>
The rank issue for you was solved by the off-by-one fix, but I wasn't a fan of the code in either the current H616 driver or my implementation for the A133. IMO it ends up looking a lot cleaner, but I suppose I'll leave that to others to decide whether it's better or worse
<MasterR3C0RD>
And awesome! That must bring you pretty close to getting output from the screen, I presume?
<parthiban>
MasterR3C0RD: I haven't flashed the u-boot to SD/eMMC yet. Still using with FEL. Hope booting from SD/eMMC should work as well.
<MasterR3C0RD>
Should be no reason why it shouldn't, though I haven't tested it either
<Soupborsh>
They just ignored contents of my letter and answered to something else.
<Soupborsh>
Like my current ISP and an old one. Also my classmates and some teachers do the same thing.
<Jookia>
maybe say you checked the links and the source for those aren't there
<Soupborsh>
Ok, but I think I may additionaly send them links to their older Kernel and U-Boot sources releases as an example for what I want. I think there is written in PocketBook's russian website that you can legaly request sources of FOSS and they should provide them.
<apritzel>
well, that matches our experience, really, they don't make it easy. And also it's just customer support people that need to close some ticket, so they read the first sentence, spot "source code" somewhere, then remember: we have an SDK!

parthiban: are you sure the driver is compatible? The H616 PWM IP is not, although it's close, and can surely be covered by the same driver
<parthiban>
apritzel yes it's the same in between A133 and T113-S3. I haven't checked the driver closely. Only thing which I checked is the registers.
<parthiban>
s/same in/same
<MasterR3C0RD>
Waiting for the T113-s3 manual to download, but cross checking against the D1-H manual, they both have the exact same warning about clocls
<MasterR3C0RD>
*clocks
<apritzel>
which might mean we do not set up APB1 correctly in U-Boot? Because IIRC Linux doesn't touch that clock, and the reset setup is probably muxing it to the 24 MHz osc
<MasterR3C0RD>
Ah, there is a difference though
<MasterR3C0RD>
Or I thought I had seen one
<parthiban>
Do you mean the source clock for PWM?
<MasterR3C0RD>
Ah, thought there was a difference in register offsets, but those seem to mostly match as well
<parthiban>
Although the group registers are not implemented in the current version of the driver. May be not required.
<parthiban>
Need to have a closer still anyways.

<apritzel>
parthiban: yes, the message in your mail says that APB should be higher than OSC, which it normally is (100 MHz vs 24 MHz)
<MasterR3C0RD>
So we need to set that up in U-Boot then?

<apritzel>
well, it looks like we do already, the value (0x03000102) in my patch would mean 100 MHz
<MasterR3C0RD>
Ah, odd...
