<CaptainYukinoshitaHachiman[m]> "has anyone succeeded running..." <- Sorry for necroposting. I run several, and it does boil down to running them with Electron 19 (as @jannau replied to you)

from my observations, the double whammy of an architecture other than x86-64 and the need for applications to incorporate Chromium 102 limits the range of applications that work. I've had more luck with open source ones (e.g., Insomnia) than commercial ones (e.g., Obsidian, Postman).

Sincere thanks to the Asahi team for great work, with some sacrifices, a 14-inch MacBook Pro (M1 Pro) is my daily driver now.

<chadmed> "this is about as good as these..." <- I have enabled audio just now (j314). I find that the sound is noticeably flatter and tinnier than in Mac OS, the lower frequencies are much fainter. Is that your experience as well?
<igrom[m]>
the card profile is Audio Pro, alsamixer has speakers at 69 (the next setting was 71 :) ) and amp gains at 100.
<j`ey>
igrom[m]: are you using chadmed's pulsewire stuff?

<j`ey> "igrom: are you using chadmed's..." <- assuming that you're talking about https://github.com/chadmed/asahi-audio, then yes, I have carried out all the actions listed in the readme. I've booted into both operating systems twice to compare the sound.
<igrom[m]>
I'll study what has been installed and read up on pipewire. Perhaps I can learn if e.g., the convolver really is running and using chadmed's impulse response files. I have no knowledge of pipewire yet so I can only offer a superficial, and probably inaccurate, guess. PS. I trust that #asahi is the right channel for this conversation.
