twizzler: can you elaborate? Works fine for me. Occasionally I accidentally click something with my palm while typing; I would imagine that is a general thing with trackpads on Linux though and not specific to Asahi.

You can disable the trackpad while typing. For browsing, I recommend chromium > firefox, as it seems to provide smoother scrolling more alike the one in macos.

landscape15: Not sure, but why do you need it? Asahi uses a rolling distribution. If you need a specific package at a different version, it is probably better to downgrade just that.

except for the system fallback recovery which is upgraded with main macos upgrade if needed. that should not be relevant for asahi (since macos 12.1) but we use its version as proxy for the global system firmware version

Hey there! I have a 2020 m1 air running asahi. The battery capacity is reported as 39.438 Wh, but according to apple it should be a Built-in 49.9‑watt‑hour lithium‑polymer battery. Can anyone confirm if they see the same or is it something on my setup?

Yeah I did. I completley drained it and charged it back to 100% and I see the same number

the raw value reported in /sys/class/power_supply/macsmc-battery/charge_full_design are already too low and I'm unsure what KDE displays as "Original charge capacity"

jannau: I was actually using upower to check the energy-full-design and it gives me 39.438. Funny enough /sys/class/power_supply/macsmc-battery/charge_full_design gives me a different number, 43.82
