I used the matrix client in the beginning, than searched for a similar mobile solution after the matrix gateway was disabled. I ended up with a similar solution as ar and use znc with the signal rest api as relay.

Hi there! I'm running asahi with debian on 6.3.0-asahi-00538-g3965d153b13f and I was trying to make the audio to work following this https://pythonawesome.com/userspace-audio-for-asahi-linux/ but I'm totally clueless when I got this message: Please put the current built-in audio device into the Pro Audio profile. Do not continue until you have done this. Press Enter to continue...
<dererk>
do you know if there's a step-by-step guide to make it work? :'D
<ChaosPrincess>
wtf is this website
<ChaosPrincess>
did they just copy and pasted the readme
<ChaosPrincess>
well, it appears to be missing a few steps in prerequisites

Well, no success either with the pipewire thingy... I'm definitely clueless :'(
<dererk>
Any documentation on how to make the pipewire thing work with m1 silicon chip?
<ChaosPrincess>
the short answer is you dont

But what's that project about? Is it a scam or what?
<dererk>
I'm confused :-S
<ChaosPrincess>
the problem is that the speaker safety daemon is not finished yet
<ChaosPrincess>
so, while there is a way of making it work it involves passing arguments that sound somewhat like "please blow up my speakers"
<ChaosPrincess>
as such, unless you can figure it out yourself and understand what can go wrong - just wait until sound is included in the official release
<dererk>
Ohhh, that "please blow up my speakers" rings me a bell....

<chadmed>
derek: you need the kernel driver to work before any of the userspace stuff does anything
<chadmed>
speakers are still not safe to use so the kernel driver deactivates the speakers when it probes
<chadmed>
also pretty sure that website is a licence violation :)
