There are many Radeon tickets where there is a failure to boot into anything but a black screen. My Ryzen 3700U with Vega graphics stops working sometime after hrev55747. This is different than #17670 and #17375, but could be #17370?

iisi the normal haiku_loader.pxe_ia32 can't untar the haiku-netboot.tgz, that is why i tried with the debug one : debug=1 in userbuildconfig. Then i got this weird 'boot loader death land'

My only weird issue in the last couple years was that beta3 could not talk to anything upstream of the Google Fiber router, which box we eventually got rid of.

I am running Haiku on actual hardware for the first time. I've tried it many, many times over the years on qemu, but it never booted on any of my boxes until today (nightly). I am so exited!!!

The sound does not work. If I manage to fix it and get it working, I think I could use Haiku as my daily driver on this laptop. I'm loving it!

I'll write one once I can give more information (appart from "sound does not work"). The volume control on the Deskbar says "Could not find the mixer". I guess it should work out of the box and not need to install anything...

I have installed OSS from HaikuDepot and it doesn't seem to make any difference. :-(

If you want to use the oss hda driver you need to blacklist the normal hda driver

Yes it should work. sound does not work is enough for the ticket, that plus the system log (/var/log/syslog) and the output of listdev -v
