strange : my generated/objects/haiku/x86_gcc2/release/system/boot/loader/file_systems/tarfs/pxe_ia32/boot_tarfs.a is demangled by c++filt-x86, and not c++filt.

<Anarchos>
AlienSoldier i am back
<AlienSoldier>
is it working with other OSes?
<Anarchos>
AlienSoldier the network card is able to retrieve the haiku_loader.pxe_ia32 from the tftp server
<Anarchos>
AlienSoldier but it is unable to untar the haiku-netboot.tgz : the inflate() calls in the zlib fail with Z_BUF_ERROR
<AlienSoldier>
i really don't know about that
<Anarchos>
AlienSoldier i knew pxe boot is presently broken, but i don't have same errors than those reported in tickets, so i am a bit lost, cause my source tree is clean
<AlienSoldier>
could it be the versioning of the zipping app?
<AlienSoldier>
i assume this being done with hardware it might be less tolerent to implementation
<AlienSoldier>
or perhaps it become software at that point but the loader one is not up to last version
<AlienSoldier>
i really don't know
osamamuhammad[m] is now known as Osm10[m]

AlienSoldier no idea what is a versioning of the zipping app

<AlienSoldier>
let say something was zipped or tarred with certain spec, the unpaker may not be 100% compliant with those spec. Note that i really don't know if this is the problem.
<Anarchos>
AlienSoldier may be
<Anarchos>
AlienSoldier my kernel dates from 12/2021 though my pkgman update says i am upto date
<Anarchos>
x512[m] thanks, i forgot to do it from time to time
<Anarchos>
x512[m] whcih zlib source is used in the boot loader ? if some of my packages are left behind, that could explain it is unable to unzip the haiku-netboot.tgz ?
<x512[m]>
I think that zlib stream format was not changed in 25 years.

x512[m] ok. Anyway i can't worsen things in keeping my packages up to date !
