Sabex: it's that trivial to install the EFI loader. boots off the first Haiku partition by default. It shows a menu if it can't find the partition (e.g. if you have it on a different disk than the EFI partition is on.)

If you want the resolution safe mode gives you it will have to be with the vesa driver

intel-extreme is free to discover the resolutions available on it's own and propose them to be used, if it doesn't find yours it is probably a bug

does anyone know how to use FontConfig from within haikuporter? when running lilypond (during its own build) it crashes with a FontConfig error ("Cannot load default config file"). Apparently the same happens also during configure already, when executing fc-list, but it is non-fatal there.

anything that is outside the chroot stays outside so builds are reproduceable

so either find the package that contains your configure and depend on that or supply the config to your build and copy it to the location the build expects

the fontconfig package contains the config file settings/fonts.conf as "auto-merge". It seems however that this file is not available inside the haikuporter chroot. If I understand it correctly, the package contains a default version of the file if it specified as "auto-merge".
