it seem the mail daemon keep a cache "link" to email. Removing an email from the mail "in" dir by moving it to desktop still show it in the daemon. It is af if the corruption is in a cache of the daemon.
<nephele>
what do you mean by "show it in the daemon"?

<nephele>
the daemon does not track files, are you reffering to the "new mail" querry? in that case, it is *just* a querry, it will find any file marked as "new mail" on your disk irrespective of which folder it is in

nephele the second button click on the deskbar mail daemon
<AlienSoldier>
i was able only to remove the text file in there by doing a duplicate of it, deleting the problematic file, then removing the "copy" in the name.
<AlienSoldier>
i also notice that i can't seem to be able to force email as read (work when i open and close it at least)
<AlienSoldier>
was also able to fix the single email appearing as 2 by doing a duplicate and deleting the original
<AlienSoldier>
now i no longer see mailbox flag (all email being processed)

I found the non forcing read email problem. this does not force read on partially downloaded email
gouchi has joined #haiku
<AlienSoldier>
guess i will have to set the partially download limit higher
<AlienSoldier>
would be nice if the force read status comment would also work on partially downlaoded email that said. It make no sense to me to get all of those html rich in picture email.

uhh, it should, i think. otherwise make a ticket :)
<AlienSoldier>
in any case i am good again on the email front until those weird email file mismatch happen again. At least now i know how to fix the issue
<AlienSoldier>
nephele perhaps it does at the time interval selected. Mine is 5 min for email. That will be someting to check.
<AlienSoldier>
what i did is that i selected them all and made open on all at once. It downloaded them and then i closed all the windows
<nephele>
time interval has nothing to with the querry iirc
<AlienSoldier>
i found a few other and selected 1 min. I will know soon if they start.
<AlienSoldier>
nope, they don't get forced
<AlienSoldier>
seem that even opening them is not that fast
<AlienSoldier>
perhaps the mail server ignore the blast request
<AlienSoldier>
as if a "wait" would be needed betwee them
<AlienSoldier>
ho, what may be happening is that they may have been deleted from the server web interface
<AlienSoldier>
in such case some kind of error should pop
<AlienSoldier>
nope, they are still there.
<AlienSoldier>
the info text under the mail box appear too vertical in the pref panel, window need to be widened to read it easily
<AlienSoldier>
problem is still there, sended myself an email, daemon menu say there is 3
<AlienSoldier>
does not always do it
