Tracker ended up "crashing" (on a debugger() call, really) with "Looper must be locked.". Does this sounds like something to open a ticket about?
<Anarchos>
jmairboeck did you work on the texlive port
<jmairboeck>
not recently
<jmairboeck>
the next thing for me is finishing the PortMidi recipe, now that Haiku support was merged there. I hope I get to it this weekend
<Anarchos>
jmairboeck nice ! even if i don'(t know what is PortMidi :)
<Anarchos>
Who knows about a good blogging CMS usable on haiku ? I would like to do my own blog
<jmairboeck>
it is a cross-platform C library for MIDI input and output with implementations for Windows (using WinMM), Linux (using ALSA), macOS (using CoreMIDI) and now also Haiku (using mostly Midi kit 2)
<OscarL>
Anarchos: have you considered using something like Github Pages? (static site generators, like Hugo, Jekyll, and the like)
<OscarL>
Or where you looking for something with a GUI (or web based)?
<OscarL>
There's seems to be a "BlogPositive" native app on HaikuDepot, at least.
<Anarchos>
OscarL i haven't fixed my mind yet

hello all
<BrunoSpr>
...only two blocker left for a Beta 4 release what do you think?
<OscarL>
That I wish I was smarter, so I could actually finish (before a Beta4) some bugfixes I'm working on :-D

cocobean yes I know... but all the programs have to be updated as well That will take time. But necesarry to have ffmpeg 4.44

waddlesplash sorry to comment on the bug-tracker, that was not a good idea of mine. So I will ask here for explanation: I do not understand this bug/blocker If Haiku becomes more stable or better it should be in the Beta, if not it could be included in R1?
<waddlesplash>
it's a very simple change, but it will require rebuilding al ot of Haikuports
<BrunoSpr>
#17256
<waddlesplash>
hence it's listed as a "blocker" to ensure it gets done before the next release
<waddlesplash>
but it won't take any real time at all
<BrunoSpr>
ah ok so it is similar to ffmpeg 4.4?
<BrunoSpr>
all the programs have to be updated then too?

matt3 has left #haiku [#haiku]
<BrunoSpr>
ah thank you very much for explaining

Is there any mechanism so replicants can "reload themselves" when the binary they came from has changed?

<Duggan>
what were the commands to check and change the version of gcc you're using again?
<Duggan>
or: would that fix this error? :
<Duggan>
runtime_loader: /boot/system/lib/libstdc++.so.6.0.25: version "GLIBCXX_3.4.29" not found (required by ninja)
<Duggan>
running 64 bit beta 3
<extrowerk>
there is only one gcc version for 64 bit, GCC 11.2.0
bitigchi_2 has joined #haiku
<Duggan>
ok, thanks... any idea as to the error then? I just realized I don't have the gcc_syslibs_devel yet, so downloading that, in case it helps...
<extrowerk>
that could maybe help
<Duggan>
I'll give it a shot... still downloading llvm though... rural internet sucks

it doesn't

odd then...

Dugan: ah.. we're on the same boat, it seems. A couple of month ago I got a bug report on some code I wrote in 2004-2006.

That, and the need to distract my mind from other issues... and here I am now... smashing my head against the keyboard after 7 years of zero programming :-)
