why the screen goes black after loading of initramfs in few seconds if spawn a shell in initramfs and don't load rootfs?
<akaWolf0>
looks like rootfs reinit the screen and without that it keeps off
<akawolf[m]>
with the kernel from sc8280xp-v6.2-rc6 and related defconfig it doesn't find nvme ssd.
<jhovold>
akawolf[m]: you need to have all the display deps in your initramfs. See the commit message for the commit adding johan_defconfig for details.
<jhovold>
same for the nvme, you need: nvme phy_qcom_qmp_pcie pcie_qcom
<akaWolf0>
thanks, I will check

indeed it works

why suspend in Windows works in different way then in Linux? in Windows power indicator starts to blink, in Linux it remains on
<clover[m]>
linux only supports s2idle, whereas windows supports s3
alfredo has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
<clover[m]>
there are different levels of suspend
jelly-hme is now known as jelly
<akawolf[m]>
yep
<bamse>
akawolf[m]: there's more work needed on suspending qualcomm platforms in linux...
<bamse>
akawolf[m]: that said, i don't think that will automatically bring us the blinking led...
<akaWolf0>
bamse: it can be since I guess blinking LED is controlled by EC which is configured in turn by the kernel I guess
<bamse>
akaWolf0: perhaps there's somethings in the dsdt indicating an answer to this?

we currently are using a hack to load a firmware that isn't ours, once that is all sorted and we're loading the proper firmware, things will be much better
