Good evening :-)
<agl>
Does anybody know where I can get the file a690_gmu.bin ? Steev lenovo-x13s-v6.2 kernel wants this file at boot time. I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X13s Gen1.
<agl>
I have searched with Google but ther are no hits.
<steev>
i only say that because i know someone somewhere, had an older a690_gmu bin, somehow some way
<HdkR>
oh cool, didn't know that existed

you shouldn't need to now, i don't think, i think the ubuntu spin is pretty much good to go-ish?
<steev>
i know they were working on it earlier, but i dunno wrt bluetooth and whatnot
<steev>
also... hmm
<steev>
the new windows firmware, which matches what is in the linux-firmware repo... shows the same issues here, audio gets queued up on the h2go speaker, or just randomly stops (but isn't muted)

steev: I have a little problem with Bluetooth. It seems the "control channel" works but the "data channel" not: I can pair but when I move the bluetooth mouse no data seems to transport. When I made "journalctl -xe" I get the error "Can't open HIDP control socket".
<agl>
Apr 05 07:16:16 Debian-x13s bluetoothd[571]: profiles/input/device.c:ioctl_is_connected() Can't open HIDP control socket
<steev>
when it shows up like that i *thought* that it is paired, but i could be entirely wrong; that said, it's unlikely that you have different firmware, but you can try copying the .8c file to .8c.orig and then the hpnv21.bin to hpnv21.8c
<steev>
the debugfs one can be ignored
<steev>
hidp *should* be built in to the kernel; at least here, i have BT_HIDP=y and HID_LOGITECH_HIDP=m
<steev>
i'm not sure if the latter option is only for their dongle though
<agl>
ok .. I look under menuconfig if the two switches are y and m ...
<steev>
you should be able grep for HIDP in the .config

ndec: so, apt update, apt full-upgrade (should pull in new ubuntu-concept-x13s with more apt prefs), and then apt full-upgrade (again, should do upgrade with prefs inforced) and it should pull down libqrtr1 from the very high version to ~concept one. to complete the switch from hacked up to the Ubuntu/Debian Archive based packaging. there will be message that "the following
<xnox>
packages will be DOWNGRADED: libqrtr1"
<xnox>
cause in your last paste, you would have noticed that libqrtr1 still lingered with the very high / non-debian-archive-like version.

xnox: yes, I noticed it. I will do the full upgrade later today!
<ndec>
xnox: that seemed to have worked properly.
