ChanServ changed the topic of #aarch64-laptops to: Linux support for AArch64 Laptops (Asus NovaGo TP370QL - HP Envy x2 - Lenovo Mixx 630 - Lenovo Yoga C630)
<akawolf[m]>
«si»? :) steev, do you know Spanish?
<steev>
nah, it's a work thing i picked up over the years, we say si because it's 2 letters versus yes being 3
<akawolf[m]>
ah, just I'm learning Spanish now, so it hurts the eye xD
<steev>
:) it took me a long time to catch on, mostly because it was spoken
<akawolf[m]>
what are those srini's patches you are referring?
<steev>
those are the audio patches needed for the audio to be working, it looks like they still haven't made it in to next yet
<akawolf[m]>
can you send me a link? would like to look at them..
<steev>
they're in the list of those commits
<akawolf[m]>
looks like srini is working closely with qcom
<akawolf[m]>
otherwise it would be very hard to find something like «Sometimes Hard reset does not clear some of the registers, this sometimes results in firing a bus clash interrupt.» without inside information :)
<steev>
i believe linaro has access to datasheets and can ask questions to qualcomm, i do not know. really anyone can ask
<akaWolf0>
what is for lpass-csr-sc8280xp?
<akaWolf0>
by the way I still noticed some audio glitches in some circumstances

yeah, it's still glitchy, nothing in the list isn't already in the 6.2/6.3 stuff, but that's linux-next showing how close we are to having basically workable system in mainline

i don't know who agl7 is or how to contact them.
<xnox>
"Do you produce a final release of Ubuntu 23.04 for the ThinkPad X13s Gen1?" => there are no installer changes that warrant new iso, one can still use that concept iso to install, and upgrade to get all the minor improvements we have done since the iso was made.

late to the party "steev: you can drop the "hack: disable..." if you pass arm64.nopauth on the kernel commandline" bamse is that fw bug still there in latest fw? I wiped windows long ago and haven't updated my fw, but if that bug is gone (or will be) I'd deal with that :)
<ajhalaney[m]>
IIRC qdrive3 had the same issue but got fixed up in fw as well from qcom, was hoping similar would happen for x13s eventually

ajhalaney[m]: i can test it later
<ajhalaney[m]>
cool, to be clear I was hoping it would not need the command line argument too (but would take that option too in the long run)
