<steev> clover[m]: i've pushed 6.9.2; changes from 6.9.1 - i've added OVERLAYFS, PD_MAPPER and UHID to johan's defconfig, additionally, i've added v2 of Neil Armstrong's 4lane displayport stuff - i don't know if it actually works though.... the only adapters i have are hdmi and i only see 2 lanes used. you (or anyone else) can check by running sudo cat /sys/kernel/debug/dri/ae01000.display-controller/DP-1/dp_debug

<\[m]> in other news, adding nf_table kernel modules equal to those found in steevs config file didn't make mullvad vpn work
<\[m]> <clover[m]> "do i need to boot with my..." <- hotplug should work no, it's just some edge case with suspend and unplug
<\[m]> that makes replugging fckd

<hexdump0815> goodspeed: thanks a lot for the patch - what exactly does it change if it is still impossible to change the brightness with it according to the comment?
<hexdump0815> goodspeed: i'll have a closer look at it when i find some time

<Dantheman825[m]> steev: what distro are you running on your X13s?
<steev> Dantheman825[m]: kali
<Dantheman825[m]> ah, I'm on 24.04
<steev> for personal reasons, i don't touch ubuntu
<Dantheman825[m]> I'm just trying to single out my troubles with audio on 6.9.2 from your tree
<Nios34[m]> hexdump0815: tbh, I don't know how to fix that yet. There is probably cabc going on or one may just adjust via dp_aux_brightness (didn't look at that yet)
<steev> Dantheman825[m]: i'm not sure. it's something on your machine, either the ucm2 configs aren't correct, or the firmware isn't. i'd expect the arch users to scream bloody murder if audio wasn't working for them
<Dantheman825[m]> maybe I should uninstall alsa-ucm-conf from apt then add the ucm2 folder there manually
<steev> it's more than just the ucm2 folder i think; you could just try applying srini's patches to the ubuntu package
