mps: that's what I also thought but here I have Mac Mini M1 where they work and Mac Studio M1 Max where they don't with the same Linux kernel/configuration (5.19.0 from current Asahi release). Wonder what might be going on...

for the usb host controller. the mac studio (and imac with 4 ports) uses a different one than the mac mini. also with 10gbps instead of just 5gbps as the mini

it doesn't help. your kernel doesn't support it. no need to try. You will get updated firmware when an updated asahi-fwextract runs

Hi! a noob question - I finally got the 3.5 jack working for audio output, but the mic from the earphone isn't picking up anything. dmesg shows mic detected and I have a Pro Audio profile mic in kde audio settings, but nothing comes from it. Any clues?

switching to mono input and back temporarily makes the mic working on Pro Audio. but after some arbitrary time it refuses to work again...
