Took some digging but I found it: /sys/class/power_supply/macsmc-battery/subsystem/macsmc-battery/charge_behaviour can be changed from "auto" to "inhibit-charge" to stop the battery from charging.

I don't know if this is the right place, but I get "SSL: no alternative certificate subject matches target host name 'cdn.asahilinux.org'". If I change /etc/pacman.conf to ignore SSL, then I get 404. Any thoughts?

I tried to replace grub with systemd (again again) and now it won't boot, and since it seems like nobody has made a boot media (and I spent some time trying to modify archiso for that) I can't just mount & chroot to try to fix
