Hi, I just tried to install install Asahi Linux on Fedora on my 2021 macbook, pro. However, I got an installation error seemingly related to the installer somehow treating a HFS+ filesystem as APFS (disk0s3). Here is the log: https://gist.github.com/asdfugil/95e194038f9df4ae002ee02147b78a3e

OK, worked around the issue by deleting the HFS+ volume

Hi! Just wanted to drop by to ask a quick question: How do you upgrade from Arch Linux Asahi to Fedora Remix Asahi?
bruse has joined #asahi
<kebokyo>
I currently have the Arch Linux version of Asahi installed on my M1 MacBook Air, and I'm trying to upgrade to the Fedora Remix version in hopes it will work better for my needs
<kebokyo>
I tried using the script but after upgrading once, it just upgraded my Arch Linux installation to the latest version, and after that the script now just refuses to do anything cause "no partitions have enough free space to be resized, and there is nothing else to be done"

...I also need to figure out how to keep this irc client from automatically disconnecting lol
<kebokyo>
Wah
<pounce>
if you lose internet it will disconnect unless you use a bouncer like irccloud
<kebokyo>
I was just leaving it in the background
<kebokyo>
And it disconnected

kebokyo: there's no way to 'upgrade' arch to fedora, you have to wipe/reinstall
<kebokyo>
ok, that makes sense
<kebokyo>
would just deleting the partition asahi is on with diskutil work?
<maz>
yeah. I've decided to skip M3 as there is no new architectural feature I care about. I'll probably wait until something with SME shows up, but that's unlikely to be an Apple machine.
