lcc was a decent option back in the day. on windows system anyway. didn't produce the most optimal code but it was lightweight and free to download

andreasdr: This helps to migrate to Clang while maintaining binary compatibility. libunwind need some modifications to be compatible with Haiku libgcc_s.so.1 use (unwind information registration).
<andreasdr[m]>
Nice. I am just checking radeon_hd haiku src code. I like to enable TRACE and ERROR to see whats going on. lol.
<andreasdr[m]>
Maybe it helps somehow.

How can I enable -DTRACE_DEVICE && -DTRACE_ACCELERANT ... when building Haiku?
<x512[m]>
libunwind may help to get correct stack traces in all cases. In theory it can be used in kernel or another process. Currently not integrated yet.
<andreasdr[m]>
Nice.
