https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1833354 added V4L2 H264 hw-decode in Firefox 116. Using the version packaged in Debian and looking at about:support H264 indeed shows up as Supported by Hardware Decoding on sc7180 lazor. To verify whether it works, I tried monitoring watch -n 0.5 grep venus /proc/interrupts, but the interrupt counter remains constant while running

an H264 video in the browser. Does someone know if this is expected and/or how to properly verify the hw decoding works?

I personally don't see a difference. On top of that Firefox doesn't give me 1080p options like Chrome does. So it's kinda a lame situation right now
